X
X-5 is a broad-spectrum adsorption resin of the polystyrene family produced by a special process with uniform medium pore size and high specific surface area; together with AB-8 and CAD-40 it forms a small/medium/large pore-size series. X-5 is mainly used for extracting medium-pore-size substances and has been applied successfully to the purification of a wide range of products. International equivalents: Diaion HP10, HP20, HP40.

Handling, Storage & Loading Notes
Transport & storage: The resin contains water; keep the temperature between 5 and 40 °C during storage and transport to prevent freezing or mold. If the resin has dried out by exposure to air, do not add water directly (it will float) — soak it in ethanol to restore its wet state, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Feed quality: The adsorbate solution should be clarified and filtered before entering the column to keep impurities out and avoid acute poisoning of the resin.
